OBITUARY ~ LAURA JANE (KIMBALL) LUTZ

Funeral Services for Mrs. Laura J. Lutz, were held Wednesday July 31, at Dolsen Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Richard Tucker officiating. Organist was Mrs. Sharon L. Clark. Dale Cadwallader sang "Take My Hand, Precious Lord" and "In The Garden".

Casket bearers were Wilford O. Randle, Delmas Martin, John W. Edwards, F. A. Weick, C. R. Darbyshire, and Jess Shelton. Interment was in Fairmount Cemetery.

Laura Jane Lutz was born in Taylor County, Iowa Jan. 9, 1878 to Amanda and Ebenezer Kimball. Her early life was spent in Iowa. She later moved to New Philadelphia, Ill. where she was married to Cyrus E. Lutz, on December 23, 1899. Of this union were born two children, Vera LeElla and Cecil Vernette.

The family lived in Illinois, Iowa, and Kansas. In April 1949, Mr. and Mrs. Lutz moved to Lamar, where Mr. Lutz passed away on May 16 of the same year. Since that time, Mrs. Lutz has made her home with her daughter Vera, and son-in-law John Spencer. She was a member of the Methodist church all of her adult life. With her daughter Vera, and son Cecil, she is survived by 10 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren
