OBITUARY ~ RICHARD GENE LILIENTHAL
July 31, 1937 ~ July 13, 2014

Richard Lilienthal, 76, of Kellerton, passed away July 13, 2014 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Graveside services will be 3 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Maple Row Cemetery in Kellerton. Pastor Skip Rushings will officiate the service. Visitation will be held after services at Richardís home at 208 N. Decatur Street in Kellerton. Burial will be at the Maple Row Cemetery in Kellerton. Memorials may be given in Richardís name to be decided at a later date. Online condolences may be made under the obituary category at www.watsonarmstrongfh.com.

Richard Gene Lilienthal was born July 31, 1937 to John William Lilienthal and Ruth Delight (Martin) Lilienthal in Danvers, Illinois. Richard was educated in Danvers, Illinois. In 1961, Richard was united in marriage to Nora Ann Moore. He operated a field tilling machine in earlier years and later tilled on road construction projects.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Ann in 2009; two brothers, Charlie Lilienthal and Bill Lilienthal; two sisters, Irene Gingerich and Shirley Burgess.

Those left to cherish his memory include four children, Todd Lilienthal and wife Carme of Johnston; Ken Lilienthal and wife Kim of Kellerton; Lori Clayton and husband Duane of Creston; Victor Lilienthal and wife Shelly of Mount Ayr; fourteen grandchildren, Christopher Lilienthal, Mitch Lilienthal, Kelsey (Bret) Hildebrand, Chance (Wendy) Greenman, Brandyn (Alli) Lilienthal, Chelsea (Kevin) Johnson, Amber Lilienthal, Stephanie (Cody) Sobotka, Joey (Heather Moffett) Noble, Brandea (Jordan) Leach, Brock Clayton, Brady Clayton, Wyatt Lilienthal and Macy Lilienthal; three great-grandchildren, Khloe Johnson, Daniel Hildebrand and Jenelle Hildebrand two brothers, John (Dorothy) Lilienthal of Bloomington, Illinois and Rick (Karen) Lilienthal of Downs, Illinois; sister, Christine (Charles) Scott of Danvers, Illinois; sister in-law Dorothy (Bill) Lilienthal of Carlock, Illinois; two brothers in-law John (Irene) Gingerich of Mackinaw, Illinois and Bob (Shirley) Burgess of Illinois and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
