OBITUARY - VERGIE MAY MYERS
Vergie May MYERS was the daughter of Lewis Theodore and Minnie HUTCHCROFT MYERS. She was born June 25, 1893, at the
family farm southwest of Kellerton, Iowa. Vergie departed this life after a long illness on March 10, 1989, at the
age of 95. She was living at the Bethseda Care Center, Winterset, Iowa.
A graveside service was held Monday,
March 13, 1989, at the Maple Row Cemetery at Kellerton, Iowa.
Vergie received her education at Buffalo Ridge, a
rural school near Kellerton, and attended Highland Park College in Des Moines. She was a member of Salem
Methodist Church south of Kellerton. She later joined the Methodist Church at Kellerton. She lived her entire life
Vergie was the second of ten children.
She is survived by a sister, Ethel ALLEN and her husband,
Forest, of Johnston, Iowa, and two brothers, Harold E. MYERS and his wife, Nadine, of Lamoni, Iowa, and William H.
MYERS and his wife, Gene, of West Des Moines, Iowa. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held March 13, 1989, in Maple Row Cemetery at Kellerton, Iowa,
conducted by Rev. Joe FLORENDO.
Casketbearers were Ivan RAINEY, Glen SISSEL, Marvin LESAN, Jack HOFFMAN, Gene
HOFFMAN and Lawrence SWANK.

OBITUARY - VERGIE MYERS, Winterset
MOUNT AYR - Vergie Mae MYERS, 95, of Winterset, formerly of Kellerton, died Friday evening, March 10, 1989, at the Bethesda
Care Center in Winterset.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. today, March 13, at the Maple Row Cemetery in Kellerton.
The Rev. Joe FLORENDO officiated the services. The Wilson-Watson Funeral Home of Mount Ayr had charge of arrangements.
Miss MYERS was born June 25, 1893, in Kellerton to Lewis Charles Theodore and Minnie (HUTCHCROFT) MYERS. She was
a homemaker and spent most of her life in the Kellerton area with the exception of a few years in Clarinda. She
spent the last 15 years in Winterset. She was a past member of the United Methodist Church in Kellerton.
Survivors include two brothers, William Henry of West Des Moines and Harold E. MYERS of Lamoni; and a sister,
Ethel ALLEN of Johnston.
