OBITUARY - MERLE MARY MUNYON

Merle Mary MUNYON, daughter of Charles Leslie MUNYON and Ida Mae McCONNELL MUNYON, was born August 5, 1891, near Grand River, Iowa, and passed away November 6, 1985, at the Clearview Nursing Home, Mount Ayr, Iowa, at the age of 94. Her entire life was spent on a farm near Grand River and in Kellerton, except for the last five years at Clearview Home.

Preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers; and three sisters.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Chester and wife Norma of Kellerton; grandsons, Terry MUNYON and wife Debbie of Kellerton; and Rodney MUNYON and wife Lee-Anne of Apache Junction, Arizona; great-grandchildren, Patricia GEORGE and Matthew MUNYON of Kellerton, and Sara and Amanda MUNYON of Apache Junction, AZ; a niece, Arleta MUNYON BRYANT, whom she raised as a daughter, and husband Harold of Oroville, California; a brother, Loren "Bill" MUNYON and wife Enid of Montrose, Colorado; sisters-in-law, Ellie MUNYON and Mae MUNYON; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

There comes a time for all of us
When we must say good-bye.
But faith and hope and love and trust
Can never, never die.
Although the curtain falls at last
Is that a cause to grieve?
The future's fairer than the past
If only we believe.
So trust in God's eternal care
And when the Master calls,
Let's say that life is still more fair
Although the curtain falls.
