OBITUARY - CARROL H. "SLIM" MUNYON

Carroll (sic, should be Carrol) H. "Slim" MUNYON, 93, of Osceola died Nov. 19, 2004, at Clarke County Extended Care in Osceola.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 23, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Brian OLIVER will officiate the service. Burial will be in Ellston Cemetery. Open visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church in Ellston.

Mr. MUNYON, son of Florence (RYAN) and Ray MUNYON, was born November 3, 1911, in Beaconsfield. On February 27, 1932, he married Allie B. FENTON in St. Joseph. Mo. He was a farmer and construction worker.

Survivors include a son, Murray (wife Joyce) MUNYON of Yukon, Okla.; three daughters, Shirley HUFF of Osceola, Phyllis (husband Larry) PAGE of Osceola and Peggy (husband John) PILKINTON of Littleton, Colo.; a brother, Lawrence MUNYON of Cuba City, Wis.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four step-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife January 8, 1994; two brothers, Beryl and Paul MUNYON; and two sisters, Wilma BOOTH and Donnella HINKLE.
