OBITUARY - MARION A. MILLIGAN

Marion A. MILLIGAN, son of W. S. and Kate (MOULTON) MILLIGAN, was born December 4, 1903 on the family farm in Athens township, Ringgold County, Iowa, where he lived most all of his life.

Marion attended grade school at the Hall country school located on the family farm. He attended high school in Kellerton. He belonged to the Kellerton Christian Church.

Marion farmed the family farm with his parents as long as they were alive. He continued to farm until his health failed. He then rented his farm and went to the Clearview Nursing Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa, where he lived for approximately six years before he passed away August 23, 1991.

Marion is survived by a sister, May MILLIGAN, a resident of the Mount Ayr Health Care Center and by a niece, Jayone MERRIMAN and her family of Birmingham, Alabama; also by cousins and neighborhood friends.

Funeral services were held August 25, 1991, from the Wilson-Watson Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa, conducted by Rev Merlin WILKINS. Music was provided by Mrs Robert THOMAS and Arlen HUGHES.

Casketbearers were Rex PAYTON, Jack HOFFMAN, Marvin LESAN, Larry CAMPBELL, Gene NOFTSGER and Lawrence COMBS. Burial was in Maple Row Cemetery at Kellerton, Iowa.
