OBITUARY - NATE MILLER, BLOCKTON
Nate MILLER died at the hospital at Des Moines near the noon hour Saturday. His remains were brought to
Blockton on [train] No. 3 about 3 o'clock Sunday morning and taken at once to his home at Redding. Interment
will take place Tuesday.
Mr. MILLER was the son of James and Susan MILLER, now deceased, and was one of a
large family of fifteen boys and girls and grew to manhood on the old farm near Redding. While his home was in
Redding, at the time of his death, for some time he had been running a hardware store in West Des Moines.
Although he had been subject to severe sick spells his death came as a shock to the community. He was at his
home in Redding two weeks. He leaves a wife [Nannie L. MILLER] and children besides brothers, sisters, and other relatives to mourn his loss.
NOTE: Interment was at Redding Cemetery.
