OBITUARY - MELVIN D. MILLER

Melvin MILLER, 31, of Tingley died March 22, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines from injuries sustained in a March 6 car accident.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at the Regular Baptist Church in Mount Ayr. The Rev. Matthew NOVOTNY will officiate the service. Burial will be in Kirk Cemetery at Allendale, Mo. Open visitation will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday with the family receiving friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. A memorial has been established in his name.

Mr. MILLER, son of Leona M. (BECKETT) and Joseph D. MILLER, was born July 29, 1973, in Mount Ayr. He graduated from Central Decatur High School in Leon in 1991. On June 29, 1996, he married Barbara S. BUCKINGHAM in Leon. He lived in Leon until 1997, Mount Ayr the past eight years and recently moved to Tingley. He worked as a lineman for REC in Mount Ayr seven years and was a carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Barb MILLER and children Eric and Shaley MILLER, all of Tingley; mother Leona (husband Jim) McINNIS of Cincinnati, Ohio; father Joe (wife Rosemary) MILLER of Leon; grandmothers Alice MILLER of Lamoni and Marie BECKETT of Brimson, Mo.; two brothers, Travis (wife Jamie) MILLER of Decatur and Brad McINNIS of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Tina MILLER and Devon McINNIS, both of Cincinnati, Ohio' and mother-in-law, Pat (husband Eldon) ALLSUP of New Virginia.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers Doyle MILLER and Wayne BECKETT.
