OBITUARY - JAMES RALPH MILLER

James Ralph MILLER was born January 12, 1893 near Redding, Iowa, the son of Charles and Rachel MILLER. He passed away at the age of 84 on November 10, 1977, at the Ringgold County Hospital at Mount Ayr.

Ralph's boyhood was spent in the Benton community. He had lived on the family farm for many years. In 1920, he was married to Mary Opal STAMPER.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal, his parents and two brothers, Elton and Orville.

He is survived by his son, J. R. and wife of Tampa, Florida; one sister, Ocie SCHLAPIA of Clearfield; also several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Funeral services were held Nov. 12 from the Rhoades-Wilson Funeral Home in Mount Ayr with the Rev. Orville RINEHART officiating. Mrs. Robert FISHER and Jaon FISHER provided music, accompanied by Mrs. Robert THOMAS. Casketbearers were Raymond MILLER, Dale SCLAPIA, Leroy SCHLAPIA, Richard MOSTINGER, Wallace SOBOTKA and Doyle STAMPER. Interment was in the Redding Cemetery.
