He was converted in the year 1903 in a church of God revival at Highland school house. He was a firm believer, in devine healing and kept his faith in the Lord till the end. His last testimony was that he was trusting in the Lord.

Dear father, in your going,
You have left a vacant chair;
You have left a place no one else can fill,
You have left our hearts sad and lonely,
You have left against our will.

Funeral services were held from the home Thursday at 2:30 p. m. and burial made in the Lillie cemetery.
