OBITUARY - KEVIN MITCHELL McFALL
Kevin Mitchell McFALL was born June 14, 1956, in Calexico, California, to Charles and Vicki McFALL. Charles,
being employed with the U.S. Border Patrol, was transferred to Fresno, California, in 1958. Another transfer for
Charles, into the immigration and naturalization service took the family to Chicago, Illinois in 1960.

By this time a brother and two sisters were added to the family and they all left Illinois for the northern
plains of Montana in 1962.
It was while the family was stationed on the Canadian border that Kevin began
first grade at Whitewater, Montana.
Three years later the family moved to Tok, Alaska. Merry times were
in store for Kevin, chasing moose in the back yard, racing snow machine and learing to use a rifle. In his
muclucks and mittens, Kevin attended Tok Elementary School for grades four and five.
After a two-year stint
in Alaska, the family transferred to Missouri and Kevin found himself in junior high in Excelsior Springs
The family went back to Alaska in 1970, involving a long trip up the Alcan Highway to
Anchorage. One year later Kevin's father was killed in a plane crash and Vicki and the four children settled in
Mount Ayr, Iowa.
Kevin graduated from high school there in 1974. Following graduation from high school,
Kevin spent two years attending Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri, then spent two years
at the University of Iowa. Following graduation, Kevin began a career in commercial real estate.
Texas, Kevin met a Texas girl named Suzi and in 1985 Kevin McFALL and Suzi STIPP were united in
marriage at Lake Tahoe, Nevada. THis union fostered two daughters.
In the summer of 1988 the family moved
to Des Moines, Iowa.
Death came as the result of a car accident. Kevin passed away on Wednesday, March 15,
1989. He was 32 years of age.
Survivors include his wife, Suzi, of Corpus Christi, Texas; two daughters,
Jennefer McFALL and Cassandra Robyn McFALL; one step-son, Jarrett SLAGLE and one step-daughter, Kristen SLAGLE,
all of Corpus Christi, Texas; his mother, Vick McFALL of Des Moines, Iowa, and a grandmother, Cassie V.
HENDERSON of Gentry, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles McFALL, and a brother, Phillip
Funeral services were held March 18, 1989, from the Wilson-Watson Funeral Home at Mount Ayr,
Iowa, conducted by Rev. Don MARS, of the First Federated Church, Des Moines, Iowa. Music was provided by
Mrs. Robert THOMAS and Mrs. Merrill THORNTON.
Casketbearers were Ned FOLTZ, Dave HUNT, Duane BLADES, Ed ROTERT,
Scott RUNYON and Kenny REYNOLDS. Honorary pallbearers were Mike AVITT, Mark AVITT, Dave PERRY, William DILLEY,
Stuart GILLESPIE and Stanley GILLESPIE. Burial was in Grandview Cemetery at Albany, MO.

MOUNT AYR - Kevin Mitchell McFALL, 32, of Urbandale, formerly of Mount Ayr, died Wednesday, March 15, 1989, at
Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines from injuries received in an accident.
Services will be 1 p.m.
Saturday at the Wilson-Watson Funeral Home, Mount Ayr. The Rev. Don MARS, pastor of the First Federated Church
in Des Moines, will officiate with burial in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany, Mo. There is open visitation at
the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Mr. McFALL was born June 14,
1956, in Calexico, Calif., to Charles Mitchell and Vicki L. (HENDERSON) McFALL. He graduated from Mount Ayr
High School in 1974, and moved to Texas in 1978 where he was a real estate broker. He moved to Des Moines
in June 1988 and was a real estate broker. He married Susie (sic) STIPP in 1985, in Lake Tahoe, Nev.
Surivors include his wife, Susie (sic) of Corpus Christi, Texas; a step-son, Garrett SLAGE, a step-daughter,
Kristen SLAGLE and two daughters, Jennifer and Cassandra Robyn McFALL, all of Corpus Christi, Texas; his
mother, Vicki L. McFALL of Des Moines; two sisters, Sandra Louise and Karen Sue McFALL, both of Des Moines; and
a grandmother, Cassie V. HENDERSON of Gentry, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles M. McFALL,
and a brother, Phillip Robin McFALL.
