OBITUARY - KEVIN MITCHELL McFALL

Kevin Mitchell McFALL was born June 14, 1956, in Calexico, California, to Charles and Vicki McFALL. Charles, being employed with the U.S. Border Patrol, was transferred to Fresno, California, in 1958. Another transfer for Charles, into the immigration and naturalization service took the family to Chicago, Illinois in 1960.

Kevin started his school years in kindergarten at Washington Community School in Algonquin, Ill., a suburb of Chicago.

By this time a brother and two sisters were added to the family and they all left Illinois for the northern plains of Montana in 1962.

It was while the family was stationed on the Canadian border that Kevin began first grade at Whitewater, Montana.

Three years later the family moved to Tok, Alaska. Merry times were in store for Kevin, chasing moose in the back yard, racing snow machine and learing to use a rifle. In his muclucks and mittens, Kevin attended Tok Elementary School for grades four and five.

After a two-year stint in Alaska, the family transferred to Missouri and Kevin found himself in junior high in Excelsior Springs School District.

The family went back to Alaska in 1970, involving a long trip up the Alcan Highway to Anchorage. One year later Kevin's father was killed in a plane crash and Vicki and the four children settled in Mount Ayr, Iowa.

Kevin graduated from high school there in 1974. Following graduation from high school, Kevin spent two years attending Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri, then spent two years at the University of Iowa. Following graduation, Kevin began a career in commercial real estate.

While in Texas, Kevin met a Texas girl named Suzi and in 1985 Kevin McFALL and Suzi STIPP were united in marriage at Lake Tahoe, Nevada. THis union fostered two daughters.

In the summer of 1988 the family moved to Des Moines, Iowa.

Death came as the result of a car accident. Kevin passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 1989. He was 32 years of age.
