NOTICE of DEATH - CAROL MAIN

Carol MAIN, 85, of Mount Ayr, formerly of Des Moines, died May 2, 2006, at the Mount Ayr Health Care Center. Services are pending at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr.

OBITUARY - CAROL V. MAIN

Carol V. MAIN, 85, of Mount Ayr, formerly of Des Moines, died May 2, 2006, at Mount Ayr Health Care Center.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 5, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Steve MELBY and the Rev. Susan THOMAS will officiate the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr. Open visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. today with family present one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Miller United Methodist Church and Link Associates, both in Des Moines.

Miss MAIN, daughter of Hazel (BUTCHER) and Homer MAIN was born January 4, 1921, near Mount Ayr. She graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1938 and Capitol City Commercial College in Des Moines. She worked for insurance companies, then Iowa Commission for the Blind, retiring in 1983. After a stroke, she moved to Mount Ayr Health Care Center in 1996. She was a member of Wishard Chapel United Methodist Church near Mount Ayr before moving to Des Moines, then Miller United Methodist Church in Des Moines where she was board secretary and choir member.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Dorothy MAIN of Mount Ayr and Phyllis MAIN of Des Moines; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death her parents and two brothers, Eldon and Edward MAIN.
