OBITUARY - KENNETH LAVELLE LYNCH

Kenneth LaVelle LYNCH was born April 2, 1928, Clearfield, Iowa, the son of William "Ellis" Sr. and Dorothy Madeline (FULLER) LYNCH.

Kenneth and Betty Jean COWELL married in Atchison, KS in [August 1] 1946. He was a self-employed truck driver so they moved from Iowa to Missouri to get his business on firmer ground. They then moved to Colorado, Wyoming, California, with the last move in 1959 to [Salt Lake City] Utah. With each move he continued to build his business, purchasing more trucks and hiring more drivers. During this time they became the parents of 3 children. The marriage ended in divorce.

In [October 21] 1957 he married Genevieve Lee GALBRAITH in Boulder (sic, should be Denver), CO and they resided in California. They also divorced but remained friends until his death.

He began buying property in Redding, IA in 1982 and finally moved there in the early 90's to live in the country once again. While driving was his passion, he also became a licensed pilot, and panned for gold. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a ready smile, a contagious laugh and was full of stories. He loved life and lived it to the fullest, He was a man who kept his word, and never wavered from his beliefs. He was still operating his trucking business when he unexpectedly collapsed and died of a massive heart attack at age 69 [November 13, 1997].

His parents and brother Kevin preceded him in death.

Kenneth is survived by his brother William Ellis LYNCH, Jr.; a sister Eddyce LYNCH MUELLER; his children: Barbara Jean LYNCH DARBY, Keith LaVelle LYNCH, and Kevin Lee LYNCH. He will be sadly missed by his loved ones.

Interment was in Redding Cemetery.
