OBITUARY - ROGER L. LANE

Roger L. LANE, 61, of Cordova, Tenn., formerly of Mount Ayr, died April 2, 2006, at Germantown Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tenn.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, in Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr. Alan SMITH will officiate the service. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr.

Mr. LANE, son of Hazel (CUMMINGS) and Bert LANE, was born June 29, 1944, in Mount Ayr. On June 5, 1966, he married Mary Anne McGEHEE at the First Christian Church in Mount Ayr. He farmed near Mount Ayr until 1987. He moved to Cordova, Tenn., and worked the past 18 years at B-Way Corp. as an industrial mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann LANE of Cordova, Tenn.; three children, Lance (wife Jo Lynne) LANE of Emporia, Kan., Christy (husband Todd) HOFSAESS of Winterset and Lisa (husband Todd) CARLSON of New Virginia; four grandchildren, Brandon LANE, Miranda LANE, Olivia CARLSON and Cadi CARLSON; brother Marvin (wife Melanie) LANE of Lamar, Colo.; sister-in-law Madelyn KLEPPER of Butler, Mo.; and parents-in-law Wayne and Rosetta McGEHEE of Mount Ayr.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bernie LANE.
