[Jesse Lee] KINSELL, promiment and successful hardware dealer of this city for the past twenty-six years, died at his home Tuesday morning, about two o'clock, following an illness of several weeks' duration. On August 12 Mr. KINSELL suffered a paralytic stroke, but continued to attend to his duties at the store, until about three weeks ago when his health became such that he was compelled to remain at home. He had been confined to his bed for the past week.

Mr. Kinsell learned the hardware business under hi brother, Z. T. [Zachary Taylor] KINSELL, and had employment at Brookfield, Mo., Fairberry, Neb., Kansas city, Mo., and Clarinda. In April, 1908, he returned to Mount Ayr and purchased the hardware store from his brother, the late Z. T. KINSELL. In January, 1926, he took as partners C. G. ALLYN and Guy L. TODD, under the firm name Kinsell Hardware Company. Since the death of Mr. ALLYN in May 1927, the business has been in charge of Mr. KINSELL and Mr. TODD and has been conducted in the name of Kinsell Hardware Company.

Mr. KINSELL, son of D. C. [Dewitt Clinton] and Sarah [(SLACK)] KINSELL, was born in Mount Ayr March 23, 1868. He passed away October 2, 1934, being at the time of his death 66 years, six months and nine days of age.

A large group of relatives, friends and business men attended the funeral services held yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon at the Rhoades Funeral Home, conducted by Dr. M. R. TALLEY, pastor of the local Methodist church, and interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery.

As a mark of respect to the departed, the business houses were closed during the funeral services.
