OBITUARY ~ EARL DAVID JEZEK
February 01, 1927 ~ April 10, 2015

Earl David Jezek, son of David A. and Matilda A. (Sobotka) Jezek passed away peacefully on April 10, 2015 at the Sequoias in Portola Valley, CA. Earl was born Feb. 1, 1927, on the family farm south of Diagonal IA. He graduated from Diagonal High School in 1945 and Iowa State in Ames in 1950. He served four years in the US Naval Air Corp and was a pilot with TWA for 34 years, reaching the rank of Captain.

A loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife Janet, Portola Valley; daughter Linda (David) Wittwer, Emerald Hills, CA, son Kenneth (Karen) Jezek, Chandler, AZ; two step sons Steve Eckstein Las Vegas, NV; Bruce (Barb) Eckstein Portola Valley, CA; four grandchildren, Savanna and Shiloh Jezek, Matthew Wittwer, Sean Eckstein and one sister, Mary (Phillip) Stamper Colorado Springs, CA as well as nephews, cousins and friends.

Earl requested no service. Instead as an old Navy man he requested cremation with his ashes to be scattered at sea.

Memorials may be given to the Bohemian Cemetery, Larry Teply 1621 S E County Hwy. J23 Diagonal, IA 50845

He will be missed.
