OBITUARY ~ LAURA (JONES) HANSELL

Mrs. Laura Hansell, 80, one time resident of the Clearfield vicinity, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Guy Horton, near Lenox. Funeral services were held at the Crew funeral home in Clearfield on Monday with burial in the Clearfield cemetery.

Laura Jones was born to Jesse and Lucinda Jones near Prescott, Iowa, January 10, 1871 and passed from his life April 14, 1951, aged 80 years, three months and four days at the home of her daughter near Lenox.

Her girlhood was spent on a farm south of Kent. She was married to Charles F. Hansell, March 11, 1891 and they made their home on a farm two miles east of Calvary church of which she was a charter member and faithful worker. They lived in Clearfield from 1923 till 1927, then returned to the farm. After her husbandís death September 1935, Mrs. Hansell returned to her home in Clearfield.

A little over a year ago, due to serious illness, she was taken to her daughter's home near Lenox, where she has received loving care from her children.

She is survived by three children Harry of Clearfield, Bert of Diagonal and Ruth Horton of Lenox; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Hattie Millikin, departed this life in 1930, and Jesse and Edna died in infancy. Mrs. Hansell had many friends and was loved by all. She was a very patient sufferer during her long illness, always appreciative of the loving care by her children and the kindness of her friends. Her faith in her Savior and her confidence in the welcome awaiting her in the glory land sustained her through difficult days.
