OBITUARY ~ ENID L. HAGEN

Enid Louise BRYANT SUTHERLAND HAGEN, daughter of Charles and Lora (REDD) BRYANT, was born August 17, 1914 in Grand River, Iowa and passed away August 31, 1994 at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa at the age of 80 years.

Enid married Paige HAGEN on January 10, 1939, and they spent all of their married life in Ringgold and Decatur Counties. upon retirement in 1980, they moved to their home in Grand River, Iowa.

Enid was community-minded and enjoyed people and kids. She was very proud of her gardening and enjoyed the time she spent in the garden. People always felt welcomed into her home.

Enid had one daughter, Donella, who preceded her in death on January 12, 1976. Others preceding her in death were her mother and father, one brother and three sisters, and husbands, Charles SUTHERLAND and Paige HAGEN.

Surviving are two grandsons, Larry S. HAWK and wife Carolyn and James B. HAWK and wife Nancy; three great-grandchildren: James T. HAWK, Melissa HAWK and Michelle HEBERT, and one great-great-grandchild, Nichol HEBERT, all of Des Moines, Iowa; sister-in-law, Agnes SUTHERLAND; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph and Goldie SUTHERLAND and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. September 3, 1994 at the Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa, with Rev. Lynn WYATT officiating. Burial was in the Grand River Cemetery at Grand River, Iowa.
