OBITUARY - RICHARD LEE KIBBE

Richard Lee KIBBE, 65, of Wever died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at the Fort Madison Hospital following a short illness.

Born July 10, 1941, in Iowa City, he was the son of Arthur H. and Ollie May (KIMBLE) KIBBE. In 1963, he married Helen CLOKE.

Mr. KIBBE was a production worker for American Ordnance in Middletown for more than 37 years. He enjoyed going to sales, collecting antiques and hunting. He was proud of his home and farm.

Survivors include one daughter, Judy KIBBE of Glenwood; one grandson; three sisters, Dorothy BURGMEYER of Columbia, Mo., and Barbara FOLAND and Patricia MUSICK, both of Grant City, Mo.; five brothers, Charles KIBBE of St. Joseph, Mo., Donald KIBBE of Mount Ayr, Marvin KIBBE of San Jose, Calif., John KIBBE of Portland, Ore., and David KIBBE of Corning; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

A graveside services will be later in Denmark Cemetery. Cremation Society of Eastern Iowa in charge of arrangements.

OBITUARY ~ RICHARD LEE KIBBE

Richard Lee KIBBE, 65, of Wever, Iowa, died April 19, 2007 at the Fort Madison Hospital following a short illness. Graveside services will be held at a later date with inurnment at Denmark Cemetery.

Survivors include daughter Judy KIBBE and Mike HESPEN of Glenwood, Iowa; and a grandson, Jason; three sisters, Dorothy BURGMEYER of Columbia, Missouri, Barbara FOLAND and husband Ted of Grant City, Missouri and Patricia MUSICK and husband Drexel of Grant City, Missouri; five brothers, Charles KIBBE of Saint Joseph, Missouri, Donald KIBBE of Mount Ayr, Iow, Marvin Dean KIBBE and wife Louise of San Jose, California, John KIBBE and wife Karen of Portland, Oregon and David KIBBE and wife Gloria of Corning, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Arthur and Ollie May (KIMBLE) KIBBE; two brothers, Robert and Henry Arthur, Jr.; sister, Mary Ellen GREEN; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Sadie Faye KIBBE.

Richard Lee KIBBE was born July 10, 1941 in Iowa City, Iowa, the beloved son of Arthur H. and Ollie May (KIMBLE) KIBBE. Richard married Helen CLOKE in 1963 and to this union a daughter, Judy, was born. He was a production worker for American Ordinance for over 37 years in Middleton, Iowa.

Richard enjoyed going to sales, collecting antiques, hunting and, most of all, his family. He was very proud of his home and farm. He leaves many friends and loved ones to cherish his memories.

Cremation Society of Eastern Iowa was in charge of arrangements.
