OBITUARY - GWEN LIVESAY KENNEDY

November 1, 1937 - February 3, 2010

Gwen LIVESAY KENNEDY, 72, passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa on February 3, 2010. Gwen was born in Ringgold county to Richard and Margaret LIVESAY on November 1, 1937.

On August 16, 1957, Gwen married the love of her life, Dennis KENNEDY, and to this union were born three daughters, Kim, Tammy and Kelly. Besides her love for her husband, Gwen’s greatest loves were her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

She will be missed by her husband, Dennis; her daughters, Kim (Jeff) McKELVEY; Tammy (Willis) JONES, and Kelly (Joe) TOLLARI; six grandchildren, Angela (Chase KING) OWENS, Staci (Tony) MILLER, Lauren JONES, Shane JONES, Joey (Amanda) TOLLARI and Jason TOLLARI; a great-granddaughter, Chantae KING; two sisters, Margaret MILLER and Georgia SCADDEN, and many nieces and nephews.

Gwen was preceded in death by her parents [Richard S. and Margaret E. LIVESAY]; parents-in-law, Reed and Sylvia KENNEDY; three sisters, and three brothers.

Visitation was held at the Sunset Funeral Chapel in Des Moines on Saturday afternoon, February 6, with the memorial service following. Her wishes were to be cremated with the burial of remains at Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made to Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa.
