DEATH of WAYNE KASTER.
Wayne KASTER, for 45 years a respected citizen of Ringgold county, died peacefully at his home in Mount Ayr Monday afternoon. Mr. KASTER had been in declining health
for several months, but his illness was not considered of a critical nature. He worked as usual during the forenoon Monday,
after dinner lay down to take a rest and in a few moment life had passed out.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon
at the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. G. T. ROBERTS of Bedford [interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr]. Relatives from a distance who are present to attend the funeral
are F. G. KASTER of Dawson, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. KASTER of Omaha, Neb., Mrs. William PATTERSON and Mrs. Walter JONES of
Promise City, Mrs. Hattie Green of Sewell, Mrs. Opal TUTTLE of Millerton and Mr. and Mrs. A. C. GRIFFITH of Creston.
Wayne KASTER, son of Jacob and Sarah KASTER, was born July 1, 1857, in Wayne county, Iowa, and died at his home in Mount Ayr,
Iowa, Monday, August 9, 1926. He with two brothers and one sister were left motherless at an early age. He grew to manhood in
Wayne county and was married to Miss Minerva Jane ROBERTSON, also of Wayne county, in 1879, and came to Ringgold county in 1881.
To this union were born six children, A. J. of Omaha, Neb.; Mrs. Rebecca CURRY of Diagonal, Iowa; Mrs. Anna GRIFFITH, of Creston, Iowa;
Friend G. of Dawson, Iowa, Robert H. of Maloy, Iowa, and Mrs. Edna STEPHENS of Delphos, Iowa.
Mrs. KASTER departed this life March
11, 1901, leaving him alone to care for his children whom he loved and cherished.
In the year of 1903 he was married to Miss Ida
Viola GLENDENNING of Redding, Iowa. To this union four children were born, Mary Myrtle, Perry Wilson, Dorothy Velma and Vernon Wayne, who
with their mother survive him. He leaves to mourn his departure twelve grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers and one sister.
Mr. KASTER was a most loving husband and father, always thinking of others first and no sacrifice was too great for his family. He was
an honest, truthful, industrious man. He lived a high standard of morality and was held in high esteem by those who knew him best.

Minerva Jane (ROBERTSON), Wayne KASTER's first wife, was born on August 2, 1857, and died on March 11, 1902. Ida Viola (GLENDENNING),
Wayne KASTER's second wife, was born on May 10, 1888, and died on November 29, 1950. Minerva and Ida were interred at
Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
