OBITUARY - HARRY CLEVE JONES

Harry Cleve JONES, son of Fred and Flossie (WHITTELSEY) JONES, was born May 23, 1909, near Creston, Iowa, and departed from this life on May 27, 1980 at the Ringgold County hospital in Mount Ayr at the age of 71 years and four days.

He attended school in Union and Ringgold counties. On Dec. 24, 1931, he was united in marriage to Wilma STRANGE ato Grant City, Mo. Two children were born to this union - Duane of Newton and Jack of Loveland, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters -- Mrs. Joe (Fairy) BATA and Mrs. Clifton (Hazel) IBBOTSON.

His passing is mourned by his wife, two sons, two daughters-in-law, 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother -- Glee JONES of Shannon City and a host of relatives and friends.

He was a member ofthe Diagonal United Methodist Church. He was a good husband and father and a kind neighbor. He greatly enjoyed his grandchildren. His presence will be greatly missed.

Funeral services were conducted May 30, at the Diagonal United Methodist Church by Rev. Greg CREECH. Darl BELL of Clearfield was the vocalist. He was accompanied by organist Margaret TAYLOR.

Casketbearers were R. A. BEYMER, Arnold KESSLER, Jim HOFFMAN, Gale HOFFMAN, Harold HIATT and Verl WATTS.
