OBITUARY - ELECTA LEONA (DILLENBURG) JONES

Electa Leona JONES was born Nov. 30, 1894 to Herb and Emma DILLENBURG on a farm near Benton, Iowa. She passed away on Aug. 18, 1985 in a Convalescent Center in Carson City, Nev. at the age of 90 years, eight months and 28 days.

Electa was baptized and joined the Methodist Church as a young girl. She was faithful in going to church as long as her health permitted.

On March 28, 1916, she was united in marriage to W. Milt JONES at her parents' home near Benton, Iowa. To this union two daughters were born, Doris M. COLE and Bernice BANDERA, both of Carson City, Nevada. She worked hard as a homemaker and enjoyed raising a garden and tending her flowers. She was always willing to lend a helping hand.

In 1956, she and her husband moved to Carson City, Nev., to be near their daughters and their families. She loved being a part of their lives.

Her husband preceded her in death on March 12, 1982. Also preceding her were her parents; two brothers, Guy and Ralph DILLENBURG; and three sisters, Jessie GUNTER, Marie FERREE, and Wilma SCHLAPIA. She was the last survivor of her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Doris M. COLE and Bernice BANDERA; sons-in-law, Darrell L. COLE and Pete BANDERA; five grandchildren, Joyce M. HAMLIN and Beverly BARR of Carson City, Karen MARSHALL of Moses Lake, Washington, Milton BANDERA of Shingles Springs, Calif. and Vicki WORLEY of Bosie, Idahol; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at Walton's Funeral Home on August 21, 1985, at 11 a.m. in Carson City, Nevada, with Rodney REYMAN officiating. Burial was in Lone Mountain Cemetery beside her husband in Carson City, Nev.
