OBITUARY - H. LOUISE (LONGCOY) MILLSAP JOHNSON

H. Louise MILLSAP JOHNSON, 82, of Mount Ayr died May 4, 2006, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 8, at Tingley Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Tim MAXA will officiate the service. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Osceola. There will be open visitation after 11 a.m. Sunday with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. A memorial has been established in her name.

Mrs. JOHNSON, daughter of Mary Janette (McBRIDE) and Ralph Aldis LONGCOY, was born June 11, 1923, in Ringgold County. She graduated from Tingley High School. On December 8, 1943, she married Marion Leroy MILLSAP. On April 12, 1980, she married Clare JOHNSON.

She lived in Clarke County for several years, moved to Osceola in 1970, near Shannon City from 1980-1991 and Mount Ayr since 1991. She was a Watkins Products representative for many years. She was a member of Tingley Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include nine children, Steve (wife Diana) MILLSAP of Greenfield, Keith (wife Sharon) MILLSAP of Winterset, Ron (wife Lynn) MILLSAP of Adel, Randy (wife Kris) MILLSAP of Cedar Rapids, Kathy (husband Ed) DEFENBAUGH of Fairfax, Mo., Polly (husband Gary) HARTSOOK of Shannon City, Dianne (husband Bill) MILLER of Denison, Donna (husband Nick) SIEGL of LeMoyn, Pa., and Jim (wife Marci) JOHNSON of Benton; 33 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband December 15, 1974; second husband June 30, 1991; grandsons Cole and Dustin MILLSAP; brother Frank LONGCOY and sister Mary BOEHLKE.
