OBITUARY - DOROTHY KATHRYN (JACKSON) JENSEN

Dorothy was born September 19, 1928 to Cliff and Ethel JACKSON in their home near Mount Ayr, Iowa. She passed away May 20, 2000 at her home in Chula Vista, California after a long struggle with cancer.

Dorothy attended Rose Hill grade school and graduated from Mount Ayr high school in 1947. Following graduation she worked for the F.B.I. in Washington D.C. While there she met Wayne Leroy JENSEN and they were married in June of 1950 following his graduation from the Naval Academy in Annapolis. To their union were born three sons, Stephen Wayne and twins Mark Ewing and Merrill Glen.

Preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters: Mary Faith, who died in infancy; Opal Fern BARNETT; and Anna Evelyn JAMES; a brother, James Clifford; a nephew Clarence Marlin HENDERSON; and son, Stephen Wayne JENSEN.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne; son Mark of Missoula, Montana, his wife Seanna and their three children - twin sons Kincaid and Sean and daughter Olivia Riley; son Merrill and his wife Waldena of El Paso, Texas; brothers John Delbert of Grant City, Missouri and Joseph Andrew of Mount Ayr; and one sister Sally SEDGEWICK of Grand Haven, Michigan.

A memorial service was held in San Diego on May 25. She will be at rest in the Naval Academy Columbarium in Annapolis, Maryland.
