Little Sioux Hustler
Harrison County, Iowa
January 19, 1906

OBITUARY - LOUIS D. JENNINGS

Louis JENNINGS was born at Kellerton, Iowa, December 27, 1880, and died at Little Sioux, Ia. January 24, 1906; aged 25 years, 16 days.

The ways of Providence are indeed beyond understanding. A young man in the prime of life and strength falling before the sickle of the merciless reaper, death. One of the saddest of incidents was the passing from among us of Louis JENNINGS, last Saturday. The deceased was a hard working young many of excellent standing throughout the entire country and his death is mourned by many friends.

Louis JENNINGS was married to Miss Ettie TOWNLEY of Moorehead, November 12, 1898, and moved to Little Sioux in the year 1900. He leaves a wife and two small children [Blanche and Herbert], a father [John Wesley JENNINGS], mother [Martha J. (CALDWELL) JENNINGS], three brothers [Herbert, Henry and John Howard] and two sisters [Mary Florence and Grace] to whom his death came as a great sorrow.

The funeral was held at the L.D.S. church of Little Sioux on Saturday January 14, and the body laid to rest in the Little Sioux cemetery.

We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of the deceased.

Card of Thanks.

The family of Louis JENNINGS wish to express their gratitude to the kind friends who assisted them during the illness and death of their beloved son, brother and husband.
