OBITUARY - JUNIOR EARL JAMES

Junior E. JAMES, 78, of Mount Ayr died October 1, 2006, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Susan THOMAS will officiate the service. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Open visitation will be after 10 a.m. Tuesday with the family present 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to Ringgold County Sheriff's Reserve or Family Resource Center.

Junior JAMES, son of Merrel L. (DeHARR) and Merle B. JAMES, was born June 15, 1928, in Mount Ayr. He graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1947. On Oct. 16, 1953, Junior married Carmene M. SCHUTZ in Macksburg. He was a farmer and member of Ringgold County Sheriff's Reserve.

Survivors include his wife, Carmene JAMES of Mount Ayr; son Kelly (wife Shelly) JAMES of Mount Ayr; brother-in-law Larry (wife Kay) SCHUTZ of Santa Anna, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents.

NOTE: Junior was a Korean War Veteran, PFC U.S. Army.
