OBITUARY - MRS. G. M. JACKSON.

Lizzie C. JACKSON, daughter of Wm. and Elizabeth JOHNSTON, was born near Brimfield, Ill, on May 7, 1867, and departed from this home in Ellston, Iowa, aged 63 years, eight months and four days.

At the age of thirteen years she moved with her parents to Ringgold county, Iowa. At the age of 15 years she united with the Methodist church at High Point and she has always been an active worker in the service of God.

On December 21, 1884, she was united in hold (sic) matrimony with Geo. M. JACKSON, of Ellston, Iowa. To this union five children were born, two daughters, Mrs. Mary FAUROT of Sharpsburg, Iowa, and Mrs. Bernice BROWN, of Boone, Iowa; three sons, Horace having preceded her in death, and Paul and Guy of Ellston, Iowa. Those left to mourn her departure are her husband, two daughters, two sons, eight grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. G. WOLFE, assisted by Rev. James WILKINS, of Grand River, at the M. E. church of Ellston on Thursday, January 15, 1931, at 2:30 p.m. Interment in the Ellston cemetery.

We take this means of expressing our sincere and heart-felt thanks to our neighbors and friends for the many acts of kindness and sympathy generously bestowed on the occasion of the death and funeral of our beloved wife and mother. --G. M. JACKSON and children.

NOTE: George M. JACKSON, husband of Lizzie C. (JOHNSTON), was born in 1864, and died in 1947 with interment at Ellston Cemetery. Horace L., son of George M. and Lizzie C. (JOHNSTON) JACKSON, was born in 1890, and died in 1928, interment at Ellston Cemetery. R. "Paul", son of George M. and Lizzie C. (JOHNSTON) JACKSON, was born in 1895, and died in 1970 with interment at Ellston Cemetery.
