The Mount Ayr Record-News, 1927

OBITUARY - MRS. CARL JACKSON.

Alta May, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred LAMB, was born December 4, 1884, near Hatfield, Mo., and departed this life January 29, 1927, aged 42 years, one month and 25 days. She was married to Carl JACKSON November 14, 1907. To this union one child was born, Doris Dean. The greater part of her life was spent in Harrison county, Missouri, where she enjoyed the fellowship of a wide circle of friends. About four years ago she removed with her family to Mount Ayr that Doris might have the advantages of high school. Here she made many friends and found happiness in her new environment until her health failed about two years ago. Her indomitable will supported her through the trying months of her long suffering, always striving to regain the health which was just beyond her reach.

Those left to mourn her early departure are her husband, Carl JACKSON, daughter Doris and aged father and mother, Mr.and Mrs. Fred LAMB, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the United Presbyterian church Monday, January 31, at two p.m., conducted by Rev. W. L. THORNBURG. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery [Mount Ayr].

CARD OF THANKS.

Since we are unable to see all the friends and personally express to them our appreciation of the many kindnesses shown us during the illness and on the occasion of the death and funeral of our loved one, we take this means of thanking all the neighbors and friends for the help and sympathy so generously bestowed.
CARL JACKSON AND DORIS.
MR. AND MRS. FRED LAMB.
