The Mount Ayr Record-News, 1930

OBITUARY - GEORGE E. HUTCHINSON.

George Ernest HUTCHINSON, son of John and Helen D. HUTCHINSON, was born in Illinois March 5th, 1864, and departed this life at the home of his sister, Mrs. Susie VAUGHN, July 23rd, 1930, at 2:10 a.m., being 66 years, three months and 18 days old.

When he was three years old he came to Ringgold county with his parents and three sisters. In young manhoood he traveled west, spending most of his time in California, returning several times to visit his sisters and brother.

Five months ago his health failed and he returned home where he had been visiting relatives. He leaves to mourn his loss four sisters, one brother, one half brother and one half sister, Mrs. Jennie HALL, Mrs. Mary FERTIG, Mrs. Susie VAUGHN of Benton, Iowa, Mrs. Maud STOKE of Bend, Oregon, Will HUTCHINSON of Martinsdale, Iowa, Clark HUTCHINSON and Edith RICHIE of Kansas City, Mo., and a host of friends.

His father, mother and three sisters preceded him in death. Loving and tender hands did all they could for him in his illness but the voice of higher power calleth stronger than friends on this earth.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Benton, Thursday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. D. DILLE, and the body was laid to rest in the Benton cemetery.

CARD OF THANKS.

For the kindness of neighbors and friends during the illness and at the death and funeral of our brother we are profoundly grateful. - The brothers and sisters.
