OBITUARY - LILA (DAY) HUNTSMAN
Lila HUNTSMAN, 80, of Mount Ayr died June 20, 2006, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 23, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The
Rev. Charles WEIMAN of the Free Methodist Church in Mount Ayr will officiate the service. Burial will be in Graceland
Cemetery at Creston. There is open visitation after 10 a.m. Thursday with the family present 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the
funeral home in Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa.
Mrs. HUNTSMAN, daughter of Daisey (TRENT) and Clarence DAY, was born February 8, 1926, in Blairsburg. She graduated from
Clearfield High School in 1942. On April 2, 1944, she married Lowell E. HUNTSMAN in Clearfield. She operated a restaurant
in Clearfield during the 1960s, then cooked at William's Cafe in Creston for several years. She lived in Mount Ayr since
1978. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Mount Ayr.
Survivors include two sons, Lonnie (wife Diane) HUNTSMAN and Dennis (wife Linda) HUNTSMAN, all of Mount Ayr; two brothers,
Donald (wife Wilma) DAY of Kansas City, Mo. and Darwin (wife Verna) DAY of Overland Park, Kan.; brother-in-law Duane HUBER
of Lenox; two sisters-in-law, Opal DAY of Gravity and Peggy (husband Mike) RICE of Lenox; aunt Irma HUNTSMAN of
Beaconsfield; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on March 8, 1978; two brothers, Vernon and Leland DAY; two sisters,
Thelma HUBER and an infant twin sister; and two sisters-in-law, Mary DAY and Lillian DAY.
