OBITUARY - ETHEL (WAUGH) HUNT

Ethel A. HUNT, eldest daughter of John W. and Rachel (THOMAS) WAUGH, was born in Ringgold County, Ia. September 3, 1890, and departed this life at the Ringgold County Hospital, Mount Ayr, on October 31 [1982], at the age of 92 years, 1 month, and 28 days.

Ethel and her folks moved to Worth County [MO] when she was four months old. Ethel was married to John C. HUNT January 1, 1911. To this union four children were born: Sylvia E., Grant City [MO], J. Stanford Redding [IA], Jubal R. and Jerry O., Grant City.

Ethel was converted and baptized at the Pentecostal Pleasant Hill Church when she was a young woman. John and Ethel lived on a farm until November 952 when they moved to Grant City.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Angie BAKER; two brothers, Jasper and Guy WAUGH; two grandsons, James R. HUNT and John L. PARKER; and her husband of 69 1/2 years.

Left to mourn her passing are her four children; three daughters-in-law, Elizabeth, Opal and Virginia; 16 grandchilren; 34 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-granchildren, many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held from Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home Tuesday, November 2, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. T. Harold CRAIG with interment in the Redding Cemetery.
