OBITUARY - DENNIS OWEN HUNT

Dennis Owen HUNT, son of Jubal R. HUNT and Opal F. (HENSLEY) HUNT, was born on December 21, 1949, at Maryville, MO. He passed away on January 10, 1998, of an apparent heart attack. He was 48.

Dennis graduated from Worth County High School in 1968. He was united in marriage in 1973 and to this union two daughters were born, Christina Renae and Karen Fern. Dennis spent his life in Worth County [MO]. He worked at a local service station and farmed all his life.

He was preceded in death by an older brother, James Ralph, in 1946; grandparents, John and Ethel HUNT, Walter HENSLEY, and Velma WAGNER; and his aunt, Sylvia WAUGH.

Survivors include daughters, Christina and her husband Darrell CHARLES, Karen and Her husband Christopher BOWEN; grandsons, Lawrence MARTIN and Mitchell Edwin CHARLES; parents, Jubal and Opal HUNT; four sisters, Carol Ann and husband James KERWIN, Bobbi Jo and husband Michael BAINUM, Lisa BAYHAN, and Lena and husband Bill GALLOWAY; three brothers, John and wife Joyce, Dan and wife Ellen, and Tim and wife Cynthia; two uncles, Sanford HUNT and wife Elizabeth and Jerry HUNT and wife Virginia; and one aunt, Jean FLETCHALL.

He will be sadly missed by a host of nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends.

Memorials can be made to the Grant City Volunteer Fire Department, of which he was a member for fifteen years.

Services were held at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home Tuesday, January 13, at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation the preceding evening from 7:00 - 8:00. Burial took place at the Redding Cemetery, Redding, IA.
