OBITUARY - DANIEL WEBSTER HUDSON.
Daniel Webster HUDSON, civil war veteran and resident of Ringgold county for forty-four years, died at his home in Redding September
The deceased was born at Kingston, near Burlington, Des Moines county, Iowa, February 28, 1842. He had attained the age of
eighty-three years, six months and twenty-three days.
His military service was with the 45th and 13th regiments of Iowa
infantry. It is noteworthy that the latter regiment was one of the units comprising Gen. CROKER's famous "Iowa Brigade."
His wife, five sons, one daughter and one grandson survive him, to mourn him, to revere his memory.
conducted by the Rev. Mr. HOOD of the U.P. church were held at the home Saturday afternoon. Interment was made in
the Redding cemetery.--Redding Herald.
