NOTICE of DEATH.
Henry HOLLAND, a thirteen-year old son of J. M. HOLLAND, living about four miles south-west of here, either accidentally or purposely, and almost
instantly shot himself last Saturday evening. His father had borrowed a revolver in the forenoon for the purpose of killing a beef, and had left it
lying in the house and had gone to town. Late in the evening as he and his brother were chopping wood in the yard, he went into the house and got the
revolver, without being seen, and ran out in the brush a short distance from the house and shot himself, the shot striking him fairly in the forehead and
causing almost instant death. It is supposed to be suicide, as he had made previous threats of taking his life. It is a sad blow to his parents who are
quiet, steady and respectable citizens of this township. His funeral sermon was preached by Rev. GOLDING at the Honey Grove church last Sabbath, after
which his remains were interred in the cemetery at that place. --IAGO.
