NOTICE of DEATH - WILLIAM "DEAN" HOHN, SR.

William Dean "Dean" HOHN Sr., 83, of Mount Ayr died June 1, 2004, at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 4.

OBITUARY - WILLIAM "DEAN" HOHN, Sr.

William Dean "Dean" HOHN Sr., 83, of Mount Ayr died June 1, 2004, at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 4, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Warren GRANKE will officiate the service. Open visitation will be after 10 a.m. Thursday with family receiving friends 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Mr. HOHN, son of Bessie (FOWLER) and Franklin HOHN, was born January 27, 1921, north of Lamoni in Decatur County. On December 12, 1947, he married Gracie STANLEY in Bethany, Mo. He was a farmer and grocery store employee.

Survivors include his wife, Gracie HOHN of Mount Ayr; two daughters, Linda (husband Bobbie) BRYAN of Jasper, Ga., and Lena HAFFERKAMP of Cary, Ill.; a sister, Doris (husband Jerry) REDFERN of Sonora, Calif.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son William Dean "Billy" HOHN Jr.; six sisters, Pauline COOK, Ruth SWIGART, Lois Stephens BENNETT, Hazel PATTERSON, Margaret MARSHALL and Wanda NICKEL.

NOTE: Dean served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

William Dean "Billy" HOHN, Jr. was born in 1954, and died in 1974 with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa.
