OBITUARY - CHARLES HOGUE

Mr. HOGUE passed away Sunday, Dec. 17, at Methodist Manor in Storm Lake.

Charles F., the son of William and Clara (VANCE) HOGUE, was born Sept. 16, 1908, in Kellerton. He graduated from Kellerton High School in 1927, and following graduation, he worked at various jobs. He moved to Schaller in 1932.

On Feb. 18, 1939, he was united in marriage to Jean ANDERSON in Rolf. The couple made their home in Schaller their entire married life. He was baptized and confirmed on June 1, 1940. Mr. HOGUE was employed at Seed Corn Plants for 35 years.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Schaller where he served as a deacon trustee and session member. Mr. HOGUE enjoyed wood working, wood refinishing and working in the garden and yard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers: Carl, Harvey, Roy, Russel and Hallie; two sisters: Myrtle and Marie and one granddaughter, Erin VEEDER.

Mr. HOGUE is survived by his wife Jean; two daughters Marilyn and Gary TITUS of Ames and Janet and David VEEDER of Des Moines; one son Richard and his wife Marilyn HOGUE of Morrison, Colo.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister-in-law, Gretel BRUMMER of Storm Lake; nieces, nephews and friends.
