OBITUARY - CORDELIA HOFFMAN

Cordelia Elsie DAVENPORT HOFFMAN, daughter of Goldman and Alice (POLEN) DAVENPORT, was born August 16, 1899, six miles west of Shannon City. She passed away at Crest Manor Nursing Home Wednesday a.m., March 25, 1987, at the age of 87 years, 6 months, 9 days.

Her home was in Shannon City and she lived in the community all her life. She cooked at school for 15 years, which she enjoyed very much.

She was baptized at an early age in the Platte River.

She was a member of the Shannon City United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

She married Ross HOFFMAN April 19, 1917. To this union one daughter and three sons were born.

She lived in her own home and was cared for by her daughter and son-in-law, until her fall in February. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother and enjoyed her family very much.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974, her parents, four sisters and six brothers.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter and husband, Bernadine and Glee JONES; her sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Doris HOFFMAN, Jack and Althea HOFFMAN, and Jerry and Ella Jean HOFFMAN; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Marie WOOSLEY and Mrs. Lavada PROBASCO of Creston; many friends and other relatives.

CARD of THANKS

We would like to thank all our friends and relatives for the many kind deeds shown to us during Mom's sickness and death. Special thanks to the hospital and Crest Manor staff for their care and consideration.

Rev. Eydie DEAL STEPHENS, Mildred SMITH, Donnie WILSON and the United Methodist Women will always be remembered at the time of the death of our loved one.
