Ringgold Record, 1884

OBITUARY.

G. Hine Gravestone.jpg Died, at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. ZWICK, on June 14th 1884, Mrs. Gusta HINE, of hemmorrhage of the lungs, in the 23rd year of her age. She had been married but about nine months, part of which time she had spent with her husband in Missouri, but a short time ago she came home -- as it proved -- to die.

Probably there has never been so sad a day to the community of Blackmore and the surrounding country, as June 15, 1884. One of the fairest and best beloved of our number was, on that day, consigned to her last resting place. She was the daughter of our esteemed fellow citizen: Chas. E. ZWICK and wife, and her death is the first break in their family. Of a rather delecate (sic) constitution she yet possessed so much energy that what would have seemed a serious undertaking to another she readily undertook and carried through. Her greatest charms were those of mind and Tender and loving, kind and forbearing, she won the hearts of all who were so fortunate as to know her. By the strength of her own pure heart she drew a sad kept within the circle of its influence a very large circle of friends.

For many years she has been a consistent member of the church of Christ and has always been known as an earnest adherent to the principles of the Gospel, adherent to the principles of the Gospel, Prof. HINE, her husband, while thus suffering the severest loss, receives the warmest sympathy from all, and to him and her parents we all would express the sorrow that fills our hearts.

"A little sooner or a little later -
What matter pray,
If the dread summons comes to-day, tomorrow
It soon, we may
Be saved the bearing of some bitter anguish
Or, if more late
A few short hours are gain for life to burden."

NOTE: Gusta (ZWICK) HINE, wife of W. G. HINE, was born on October 14, 1861, She died on June 14, 1884 at the age of 22 years and 9 months.
