OBITUARY - MRS. ANNA HIGGINS

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna HIGGINS were conducted Tuesday, May 20, at the Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Ralph E. HESS in charge. Burial was in the Yuma Cemetery.

Anna H. JACOBS was born September 20, 1886, to William and Martha (SPAIN) JACOBS, at Mt. Ayr, Iowa, and went to her reward on May 16, 1975, at the age of 88 years, 6 months, and 24 days.

She was united in marriage to Harry F. HIGGINS on March 25, 1903. Five children were born to this union. In early spring of 1909, she came to Colorado with her family and homesteaded south of Yuma. This was her home for the remainder of her life.

Anna was converted at 10 years of age, and lived a faithful Christian life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Harold; a son-in-law, Donald HIGGINS; one grandson, Edward; three great grandsons, Bradley, Austin, and a baby; four brothers and six sisters.

She is survived by her four children, Gracie of the home; Agnes and husband, Delbert SIGMON, of Yuma; Doyle and wife, Vera of Denver; and Roena HIGGINS of Yuma; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Elizabeth JACOBS of Paoinia, and Mrs. Alberta JACOBS of Alem, Oregon; 10 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
