OBITUARY - A. B. HERRON.

Civil War Flags.jpg Andrew B. HERRON, son of William and Elizabeth HERRON, was born in Washington county, Pennsylvania, January 11, 1847, and died at his home in Tingley, Iowa, May 27, 1926.

He was a veteran of the civil war, having enlisted at sixteen years of age in Company C of the 22d Pennsylvania cavalry, and served until the close of the war.

He came to Ringgold county in 1872 and has resided here continuously ever since.

He was married to Victoria CAMPBELL in 1885 and she died November 26, 1925.

His only immediate relatives are his brother, J. S. HERRON of Covington, Okla., his sister, Mary E. GARD, and her two children of San Francisco, Calif., and nephew, Clarence SPENCE, of Mount Ayr.

He was highly regarded by friends and acquaintances and was a good citizen and an honest and industrious man and leaves a wide circle of acquaintances to mourn his death.

Funeral services were held in the Tingley United Presbyterian church on Friday, May 28, at 2 p.m. Rev. W. L. THORNBURG of Mount Ayr conducted the service assisted by Rev. YOUNG of the M. E. church of Tingley. Interment was in the Rose Hill cemetery of Mount Ayr.
