OBITUARY.

Eliza Jane Heaton gravestone.jpg DIED--Sept. 3d, 1877 at home in Jefferson Township Eliza
J[ane]. HEATON, wife of Edward B. HEATON in the 46th year of her age. The deceased was born in Warren Co. O[hio, 1832]. from which State she removed with her family to Jefferson Co. this State in A.D. 1856. Her disease was consumption which she bore with great fortitude and Christian resignation. She had been for years a consistent member of the M. E. Church. Her death was triumphant.

"Let me die the death of the righteous,
and let my last end be like His."

A husband and three children mourn her departure, but they sorrow not as those that have no hope.
