OBITUARY - MAXINE D. (BOLINGER) HARTMAN

Maxine Donna HARTMAN, 68, of Creston died October 29, 2005, at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, November 3, at Crest Baptist Church in Creston. The Rev. Chuck SPINDLER will officiate the service. Burial will be in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, north of Creston. Open visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with family receiving friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Powers Funeral Home, 601 New York Ave. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Mrs. HARTMAN, daughter of Emma Fay (GATES) and Edward Isaac BOLINGER, was born February 8, 1937, in Mount Ayr. She graduated from Creston High School in 1955 and attended Creston Community College. She lived most of her life in Creston where she worked at K-Mart, Congregate Meal Site and various other jobs before retiring in 1997. She attended Crest Baptist Church and was a member of the Peppermint Angels. She was a bloodmobile volunteer and attended Bible Study groups.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherry (husband Eb) KNUTH of Creston; two sons, Wade (wife Beth) HARTMAN of Creston and Scott (wife Michelle) HARTMAN of Afton; sister-in-law Margaret BOLINGER of Creston; three sisters, Wanda (husband Willard) PETERSON of Creston, Lavon KOLBE of Crosby, Texas, and Pauline WILLIAMS of Fairfield, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Andrea and Josh KNUTH, Kindrea and Natalie HARTMAN, Nicole (husband Andy) POST, Kim HARTMAN, Sara HARTMAN, Tony HARTMAN and Carrie DEMPSEY; four step-grandchildren, Tabitha (husband Josh) SMITH and Daniell, Chelsey and Jessica WHITE; and three great-grandchildren, Hanna HARTMAN and Rilee and Morgan DEMPSEY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clair BOLINGER and two sisters, Wilma Cochran and Linda BOLINGER.
