OBITUARY - MRS. EMMA P. HARTMAN.

Emma P. (sic, should be R.) HARTMAN, daughter of Joseph and Mary THOMPSON, was born near Creston, Iowa, on June 22, 1881, and passed away at her home in Ellston March 28, 1932, at the age of 50 years, nine months and six days, after a short illness.

She was united in marriage to George N. HARTMAN March 7, 1900. To this union were born eight children - five boys and three girls. She united with the Baptist church at Creston at the age of 12 years.

She leaves to mourn her death her husband and six children, Ernest, Russell and Grace at home, Mrs. Laura PORTER of Newton, Mrs. Eva PRICE of Des Moines and Richard of Gary, Ind.; four sisters, Mrs. Mary OSHEL of Pilot Mound, Manitoba, Lina DEVALT of Clifton, Colo., Pheba SWANSON of Afton and [illegible] PETERSON of Creston; one brother, Guy THOMPSON of Chreston, and a host of friends and relatives. Two sons preceded her in death, Lloyd in infancy and Paul at six years.

She was a member of the [illegible] Neighbor lodge of Ellston.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, March 30, at 2:30 p.m. at the Methodist church of Ellston, conducted by Rev. L. G. WOLFE. Interment made in Ellston cemetery.

(THOMPSON) HARTMAN's children: Ernest E. HARTMAN (1901-1965); Lloyd HARTMAN, born September 20, 1920, died September 22, 1920; Paul N. HARTMAN, born October 25, 1918, died January 29, 1927; Richard H. HARTMAN (1907-1943); Russell HARTMAN (1910-1942), all interments at Ellston Cemetery.
