OBITUARY ~ GARRY LEE HAMILTON

Garry Lee HAMILTON, 50, of rural Diagonal was pronounced dead at the scene of a semi/tractor accident which happened about 7:26 p.m. Friday, July 8, eight miles west of Mount Ayr on Highway 2. HAMILTON was the driver of a tractor that was struck by a semi loaded with bales of recycled tin, as it attempted to pass.

OBITUARY - GARRY LEE HAMILTON

Garry Lee HAMILTON, 50, Diagonal, Iowa, died Friday, July 8, 1994 in an accident on his way home with a tractor and mower.

Born May 3, 1944 in Clearmont to J. T. and Eva Beatrice (JOHNSON) HAMILTON, he had taught school in Breckenridge, Collins, Iowa, and Mt. Ayr, Iowa. He began working for Crestland Cooperative of Creston, Iowa, in 1980, where he was currently Seed and Petroleum Manager.

He married Andrea Lynn EBLEN, July 15, 1963 in Maryville.

Mr. HAMILTON was a 1962 graduate of West Nodaway High School in Burlington Junction, and a 1968 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a B.S. in secondary Education. He also had a B.S. in Agriculture Business, which he earned in 1979.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Diagonal, Iowa; one son, Dr. Stacey Alyn [HAMILTON] of Knoxville, Iowa; one sister, Deloris ARGO of New Market, Iowa; three brothers, Dallas HAMILTON of Burlington Junction; Gerald HAMILTON of Clearmont, and Larry HAMILTON of Coin, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Clearmont, with the Rev. Eydie STEPHENS officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Clearmont.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Watson Funeral Home, Mt Ayr, Iowa.
