SUDDEN DEATH of LLOYD HALLER.
Mr. HALLER, who lived two miles north of Benton, died at his home Thursday morning about eight a.m. He had not been well
for some time but was up and about his work until Thursday morning. After dressing himself he said he did not feel well
and laid down on the cot and passed away in a few minutes.
His death was quite a shock to the community as no one
realized he was in such a serious condition. It was very sad for his wife and daugher who were alone with him when the
The word of death quickly spread and in a very short time friends and neighbors were there doing all they
could to help.
His body was taken that evening to Diagonal, where it was shipped to Hampton, Iowa, his old home, for
Mrs. HALLER and little daughter certainly have the sympathy of her neighbors and friends in this very sad hour.
NOTE: Lloyd HALLER was born in 1885, and died at the age of 37 years. He was interred at Hampton Cemetery, Hampton,
Franklin County, Iowa.
