OBITUARY ~ MARLENE FAE GREIMANN

Marlene Fae GREIMANN was born December 6, 1936, to Earl and Leona FISHER in Iowa city, Iowa. She was adopted by Clarance and Gertrude BRABY in Ottumwa, Iowa. She passed away Sunday, october 1, 2006 at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Marlene married Lee GREIMANN in Mount Ayr, Iowa April 22, 1956. They were privileged to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with friends and family April 22, 2006. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Perry, Iowa. They lived in Dallas Center, Iowa before moving to Perry in 1978.

Marlene had many talents. As a seamstress, she made wedding dresses, curtains and drapes. She was a great cook, which included baking and decorating wedding cakes. She also worked with ceramics, made and dressed dolls and loved decorating her home.

Marlene loved the fun things in life. A highlight was "The girls day out" with her daughters for a weekend each year. This year's "get away" was planned for the weekend of her death.

A celebration of Marlene's life was held Thursday, October 5, 2006, at 7 p.m. at the Murdock Funeral Home in Perry. Rev. Max PHILLIPS officiated the celebration.

Survivors are her husband, Lee, of Perry, Iowa; son, Steven (Cathy) GREIMANN of Perry, Iowa; daughers, Lea Ann (Steven) CARLSON of West Des Moines, Iowa, Kristy (Jim) BRAU of Omaha, NE, Sonya (Chuck) COY of Johnston, Iowa, and Wendy (Dave) GOODALE of Perry, Iowa; brothers, Jack BRABY of Independence, Missouri, Jim BRABY of Lamoni, Iowa and Chuck BRABY of Davis City, Iowa; sisters, Helen BICKLE of West Burlington, Iowa, Toni KRON of Guntersville, Alabama and Charlotte PALTAR of Carson, Washington; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Marlene's body was donated to the Des Moines University.
