In Loving Memory of
Anna Maye GIPSON

Anna Maye was born Anna Maye HUNTER of April 22, 1931, in Milton, Iowa, the daughter of Homer Huffman and Lillie May (LAWRENCE) HUNTER. She was married to David Landis GIPSON for 55 years, who survives. In addition she is survived by three daughters, Linda (Jon) HEASLET, Huntington, IN, Betty (Rich) BRUNDAGE, Mt. Ayr, IA, Gloria (Chris) von FAHNESTOCK, Dayton, OH, one son David (Brenda) GIPSON, Yuba City, CA, 19 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy AYTES, Kathy's husband, Ron, and two granddaughters, Christine and Saundra AYTES.

Anna Maye is also survived by one brother, Harry (Mary) HUNTER and one sister, Hazel (Francis) BOYD, all of Milton, Iowa.

She lived in Milton, Fairfield, Pella, Denison, Carroll, Boone, Pleasantville, and Lamont, Missouri before moving to Mt. Ayr, IA in 1980.

Anna Maye worked at various places throughout her life but was principally a mother and housewife who looked after her family, which was her biggest love. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and leader, Brownie and Girl Scout leader, Demolay Mom, Rainbow Mom, Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and many other civic organizations over her lifetime.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ringgold County Hospital, Hospice room fund, Mt. Ayr, IA.

Services were held at the Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home of Mt. Ayr on Saturday, August 17, 2002, at 2:00 o'clock p.m., the Rev. Jon HEASLET officiating. Casketbearers were Pete HEASLET, Darryle BEARD, Ron HEASLET, Michael WILSON, David GIPSON and Tim BOGAN. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Blockton, Iowa.

Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home of Mount Ayr was in charge of arrangements.
