OBITUARY ~ EDNA MAE (GREENMAN) GIBSON

April 13, 1922 ~ October 24, 2011

Edna Mae GIBSON, 89, of Madrid, formerly of Slater, died October 24, 2011 at the Madrid Home. Funeral services were Thursday, October 27, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Slater.

Edna was born April 13, 1922 in Kellerton, Iowa to Clifford and Bessie (REYNOLDS) GREENMAN. She married Woody GIBSON in 1938 and helped him on the farm for many years. Edna was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Friendship Club, Junior Lutherans, kitchen committee and funeral committee. Edna enjoyed canning, baking, sewing and spending time with her family.

Her survivors include her six children, Myrna (Darrell) HARMON, Marcia MILLANG, Gary (Carol) GIBSON, Elaine (Max) RAINES, Rich (LuAnn) GIBSON and Mike (Joyce) GIBSON; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Carlton GREENMAN, and three sisters-in-law, Lou GREENMAN, Doris GIBSON and Colleen GREENMAN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marshall "Woody" GIBSON; granddaughter, Roxann HARMON; great-grandson, Derek HARMON; daughter-in-law, Karen GIBSON, and son-in-law, Donald MILLANG.
