OBITUARY ~ MRS. MACE GERMAN

Doris Edna JENNINGS, daughter of Emmett and Mary Ann JENNINGS, was born September 23, 1902, and departed this life June 8, 1953, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert BAGLEY, Jr., of Mount Ayr. She had been in ill health for the past five months.

At an early age she was baptized and became a member of the Methodist church at Redding.

On June 17, 1919, she was united in marriage to Mace A. GERMAN, and this union was blessed with a daughter and six sons. The husband and father departed this life on October 6, 1951.

She was a loving wife and mother, a devoted companion and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are the daughter, Mary BAGLEY, her six sons, John, of Clarion, Lloyd, Harold and Robert, of Des Moines, Warren, of Cedar Rapids, and Jimmy, who is with the U.S. army in Korea, and two sisters, Mergie DELANEY, of Westplains, Mo., and Lucinda TAYLOR, of Mount Ayr. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, June 10, from the Rhoades Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Harold A. REEL, pastor of the First Christian church. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.
